Color Charts with Ancient and Modern Palettes
Learn two skills in one class- how to create a color chart and how ancient palettes provided artists with a surprising range of colors. An essential tool for any artist, color charts are a systematic way of mixing of a few colors to unlock almost unlimited combinations. We’ll make two color charts in this class with ancient palettes, one using the Zorn Palette and the second with an Egyptian color palette from over 3000 years ago. We will discuss other ancient combinations and the technology of color through the ages.
